The Bengal Tiger
A kitten may be hard to buy at the bengal tiger cattery, as there are few bengal cat breeders.
The claws of these animals are retractable and very sharp. These animals are adaptable to their environment; their striped coat pattern breaks up the body outline in dense cover of the forest. Unlike most cats, these species enjoy swimming. These animals do not have a great stamina and cannot run for a long time. They sleep about 18 hours each day and are more active during twilight. Deforestation has resulted in decline of their natural habitat and disappearance of their prey. This has put the species on the brink of extinction.

These predators are feared by animals and humans alike for their great power and lethal grip. These creatures are very sensitive; their vision and hearing are very sharp and they are able to attack the prey silently and break its neck. Although they are powerful and agile, hunting does not come easy to them. More often than not, it takes several attempts for them to eventually catch a large prey.
