The gestation period of females lasts 3.5 months. The majority of cubs are born between February and May. Tigress usually gives birth to 1-4 cubs. The cubs' weight is up to 3 pounds. They are born stripped and blind, and open their eyes in 15-16 days after the birth. By age of 8-6 weeks they start eating meat and may follow their mother on hunting trips.
