Bengal Tigar
It is possible to obtain a bengal tigar picture at a cattery.
Females give birth to only 3-4 litters in their life. The wild population of these animals is very small and separate groups are isolated, so it is difficult to find mates and new home ranges for young animals. The main causes of the population decline are habitat destruction and poaching. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were as many as 40,000 species in the world, while today there are only 3,000 of them left. Unfortunately, the poaching still continues, and wildlife departments have no effective tools against illegal hunters. At least, one animal is killed by poachers every day.

Bengal Tigar -
picture, cattery
In the wild, these animals live up to 15 years, but in captivity they reach up to 20 years. The reproductive rate of these animals is very low: only 2-4 cubs are born every 2-3 years, but one or two die at birth. Nursing mothers live in lairs and provide care for their young. The young are born blind and helpless and require protection from males who can kill them. Females are extremely aggressive in defending their cubs and may attack anything and anyone they believe is a threat to the litter. It is possible to obtain a bengal tigar picture at a cattery.
