Bengal Leopard Cat
It is difficult to find a bengal leopard cat at rescues or a cattery.
There are 5 types of tiger living in the world today; Bengal, Indochinese, Siberian, South China and Sumatran. There are also 3 other types of tiger that are now extinct mainly due to hunting and destruction of natural habitat, these are; Bali, Caspian and Javan. The remaining five species will share the destiny of the three extinct tigers unless we manage to control killing and stop interfering in their natural habitat. Unfortunately, many tigers continue to fall victims to poachers, and now at least one Indian Tiger is killed every day.

These felines are carnivorous and they consume up to 100 pounds of meat in a night, because they do not eat everyday and sometimes go for a few days before their next meal and need to build their energy. Their usual diet includes deer and cattle to frogs and fish. While they eat a vast range of food, they also eat a lot of food. However, they may stay without food for several days after a good meal. Hunting is vital for them, and it does not always come easy. It has been counted that only 10% of all attacks against wild animals are successful. Although they are solitary animals, they may come together to hunt and share a large kill. An old or ill animal is more likely to perpetrate an attack against a human. It is difficult to find a bengal leopard cat at rescues or a cattery.
