Endangered Species Bengal Tiger -
pictures, conservation
These wild cats mark their home ranges, and males’ territories are much larger than females’. Generally, they are solitary animals, but sometimes they travel in groups. These groups may probably consist of a mother with sub-adult children. Males do not take part in weaning the young, as they are not monogamous. Nursing mothers are suspicious of anything or anyone approaching the lair and defend their territory aggressively. They do not allow males to get close to the cubs, because they can kill them.
