Like all felines, these creatures are pure carnivores and specialize on big game, such as buffalo, deer, antelope, pig and even young elephant. They are able to eat about 90 lbs of meat at a time. If the food is scarce, they may raid domestic stock and even become man-eaters. However, these animals rarely attack humans and usually prefer to keep clear of them. In areas where food is scarce, these felines are more likely to pick on a human. Deforestation and massive intrusion by people into their habitat have led to a increased number of dangerous encounters.

Bengal Tiger Cats -
pictures, rescue
These animals are second to only Siberian species in size. They are up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 230 kg. This species is the fastest running feline, able to reach the speed of 60 km per hour at short distances. They do not have a great stamina and become exhausted easily. Therefore, they rely on the specific hunting strategy of ambushing their prey. Their patience permits them to stay under cover for a long time and attack the nanosecond a victim gets within the striking range.
