Bengal Information Tiger
Bengal information tiger can be found on most rescue sites that are rescues only for big cats.
The reproductive rate of the cats is rather low. Females give birth every 2-2.5 years, but sometimes wait 4-5 years between the litters if food is scarce. Mating can occur any time of the year, but it usually takes place from November to April. They are induced ovulators, and usually it takes several copulations for a female to ovulate. Gestation period is 103 days, and females rear their young singly. Males are not involved in weaning the young, and females keep them away from the cubs. Females are very protective around their cubs.

These cats have a reputation of vicious killers, but that is not true, because their life is rather hard. Only 90% of all attacks are successful and the animals sometimes suffer from lack of prey and may even die of starvation. Cubs are particularly vulnerable to the harsh realities of life, and one cub usually dies shortly after birth. Many of these felines get killed by poachers, and some species are forced to leave the place once it becomes unlivable.
