Such creatures are not a separate subspecies; it is more accurate to call this color variety an aberrant coloration. They are not albinos either. Their eyes are blue, green or orange; their coat and skin are striped; the nose and paw pads are colored. Their specific coloration is defined by a double recessive allele in their genetic makeup that occurs once in about 10,000 births. Therefore, such animals are extremely rare in the wild, and they have only been reported a dozen times or so over the past one hundred years.
